Light Leak (working title) is about a much-anticipated wedding. Just a small wedding. But the guest list grows as those from the past as well as the present want a front row seat to the event, whether they’ve been invited or not. Even the wedding party gets unruly as factions among allies threaten to pull the whole affair apart.

But the ancestors we met in House Key aren’t having it. They’ve waited way too long to witness this union, and they’ll do whatever it takes in their time to guarantee what needs to happen in ours. They make hard decisions with mixed results. Meanwhile, those in the present must learn to confront their own past, make amends or stop apologizing for it if this wedding is to take place at all.

We heard Jordan’s side of the story in House Key. Soon, we’ll hear from her photographer mother, Deirdre, as the story literally reveals itself in a darkroom, where she is developing film and making prints—until she notices a light leak under the door…
